Description
Juvederm Ultra 2, sold as Ultra XC in some markets, is a cross-linked hyaluronic acid dermal filler from Allergan. It is a smooth, easily injectable gel of non-animal-origin HA.
Manufacturer indications include fine lines and moderate wrinkles, lip contour and lip volume, with common treatment zones being perioral and periorbital lines. It contains 0.3% lidocaine hydrochloride for patient comfort; the XC designation denotes the lidocaine formulation.
Juvederm Ultra 2 is a Class III medical device for administration by qualified practitioners only. Anna's Cosmetics supplies it to licensed injectors; effects are temporary as the hyaluronic acid is biodegradable.
