WHAT ARE MIRACU MONO THREADS?

These PDO threads represent a single strand filament of polydioxanone (PDO).

INDICATIONS & BENEFITS OF MIRACU MONO THREADS

Miracu mono threads are used to create a mesh or a “Net” under the skin. The “Net” technique allows to greatly improve the appearance of at least 3 high-demand areas: lips, neck and cheeks.

To form the net, 4-10 threads are used per area and inserted in 2 or 3 directions. The number of threads used usually depends on the area:

• A net of 5 to 10 PDO threads is used for the reduction of submental sagging, chin lines and the correction of the "turkey neck”
• A net of 5 PDO threads on each side is used for the cheeks on a more superficial layer and to enhance the results (volume) of deeper dermal filler injections

The “Net” technique relies on the action of needle and reaction to the foreign body to stimulate new collagen: PDO threads mechanically induce skin tension into the deep layers of the subcutaneous tissue and induce the formation of new collagen type I – a process known as “Neocollagenesis”.
