Rejuran® S — polynucleotide filler for the targeted treatment of acne scars and skin defects

Rejuran® S is a regenerative dermal filler based on highly purified polynucleotides, developed specifically for the treatment of atrophic scars, in particular acne scars, as well as structural skin defects. Unlike classic fillers, the focus is not on volume build-up but on the targeted support of natural tissue regeneration. By stimulating fibroblasts and promoting new collagen formation, Rejuran® S contributes to improving skin structure, skin elasticity and scar quality. Its particularly high viscosity enables precise treatment of localised skin depressions and scar areas.

Indications

Rejuran® S is suitable for the treatment of:

• Atrophic acne scars
• Surgical scars
• Sunken scar areas
• Skin depressions
• Structural skin defects
• Uneven skin structure
• Post-inflammatory skin changes
• Scar tissue with reduced skin volume

Suitable treatment areas are: cheeks, temples, jawline, forehead and localised scar areas on the face.

Application

Rejuran® S is injected in a targeted manner into the mid to deep dermis to treat scar tissue and local skin defects. The high viscosity enables stable placement in the treated area and supports the long-term regeneration of damaged skin structures. If required, a local anaesthetic can be applied 20–30 minutes before treatment. The recommended initial treatment comprises 3–4 sessions at intervals of 2–4 weeks. Maintenance treatments can subsequently be carried out at intervals of 6–12 months.

Recommended treatment parameters:

• Injection angle: 15°–30°
• Injection depth: approx. 0.5–1.0 mm into the dermis
• Distance between injection points: 0.5–1 cm
• Injection amount: approx. 0.02–0.05 ml per point
• Recommended needle: 30–34G, 4 mm
• Total volume per session: 1–2 ml, depending on the treatment area

Duration of results

First visible improvements can often be observed after 2–3 treatments. The effect develops gradually through the activation of the body's own repair processes and the promotion of collagen formation. Results usually last 6 to 12 months. Regular touch-up treatments can help to maintain the results long-term.

Safety information

Temporary redness, swelling, small papules or tenderness at the injection sites may occur and usually subside within 24–48 hours. After treatment, make-up, intense physical activity, sauna visits, alcohol and direct sun exposure should be avoided for at least 24 hours.
