Description
Sculptra is a collagen-stimulating injectable based on poly-L-lactic acid. Each vial of dry substance contains 150.0 mg poly-L-lactic acid, 90 mg sodium carboxymethyl cellulose and 127.5 mg pyrogen-free mannitol. It stimulates the connective-tissue cells to form new collagen, gradually restoring lost volume.
It is suited to volume building of sunken areas, correction of lines, wrinkles and scars, and large-area correction in loss of subcutaneous fat (lipoatrophy). As results build gradually, the source notes one to three treatments may be needed. Supplied as two vials.
