Soolantra of Italian origin comes as a brand name Efacti.  It is thought that this medication works to heal rosacea lesions by killing microscopic demodex mites that live in the skin. Everyone has the mites, but studies have shown that they exist in greater numbers on the skin of those with rosacea. These mites can also leave bacteria behind. Ivermectin also has anti-inflammatory properties.

Efacti cream should be applied once daily at the same time every day to the areas of the face that are affected by inflammatory lesions. Apply a thin layer of medication over the affected areas; a pea sized amount should be sufficient. Wash your hands after each application. Don’t put this medication on your lips, around your eyes or in your nostrils.

SIDE EFFECTS 

Possible side effects from using both Soolantra and Efacti include dry skin, burning and irritation at the site of application. Other possible serious side effects include allergic reaction. If you experience any serious or bothersome side effects, report them to your doctor as soon as possible.
